Justin Bieber apologizes for racist joke

Justin Bieber was in serious damage control mode Sunday after a video of him telling a racist joke to friends surfaced.
In the video, posted to TMZ.com, the pop star, then 15, asks: "Why are black people afraid of chain saws?"
He answers his own question: "Run n*****, n*****, n*****, n*****," he says, imitating the sound of a chain saw. Then he laughs.
TMZ reported it got the video four years ago but decided against posting it then because of Bieber's age and because he "immediately told his friends what he did was stupid." It was reportedly shot backstage at a promotional event.

"As a young man, I didn't understand the power of certain words and how they can hurt. I thought it was OK to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but didn't realize at the time that it wasn't funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance," Bieber, now 20, said in a statement.

He added: "I take my friendships with people of all cultures very seriously and I apologize for offending or hurting anyone with my childish and inexcusable mistake. I was a kid then and I am a man now who knows my responsibility to the world and to not make that mistake again."
The video is the latest in a string of troubles for the star, who shot to fame as a fresh-faced teen.
There was a DUI arrest in Miami, an assault charge in Toronto and a felony vandalism probe in Los Angeles.
Also, the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating allegations that Bieber and other passengers aboard a charter flight from Canada to New Jersey's Teterboro Airport interfered with the flight crew.
None of the criminal charges that Bieber faces appear to threaten his freedom. Probation sentences, fines, community service and counseling are routinely given in such cases.

Chris Brown Has been released from jail

Chris Brown Has been released from jail
Chris Brown is a free man, for now.
The troubled singer was released from a Los Angeles County jail just after midnight Monday, a Los Angeles Sheriff's Department representative confirmed to CNN.
Brown had been in jail since March. He was ordered to be held after being expelled from a court-ordered rehabilitation facility. He had been ejected from the facility for violating the rules.
In May, Brown admitted to violating his probation for his arrest last year for an alleged assault in Washington. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge James Brandlin sentenced Brown to serve 365 days in jail for the admitted probation violation, and the singer was given credit for serving 234 days because of the rehab and jail time.
The case against Brown in Washington, in which he and his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy were accused of beating a man who tried to take a photo of Brown last October, is still pending. Brown has been charged with misdemeanor assault.

Jennifer Lopez 'sweet and sexy' First Love

Jennifer Lopez is happy with the 'sweet and sexy' vibe of her sultry new music video.

The 44-year-old singer and actress released First Love, the second single off her forthcoming album A.K.A., in early May, followed by the accompanying music video on May 29.

And Jennifer is elated with how the promo footage turned out, as she believes it visually encapsulates the tune's ultimate message.

"It's a sweet and sexy video, I think," she told People magazine. "It definitely captures the feeling of the song."

Celebrity music video director Anthony Mandler, who has worked with the likes of Justin Bieber, Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles, helmed the promo.

The songstress appreciates Anthony's expertise, and said she relied on his insight throughout the project.

He even convinced her to film the music video in black and white.

"We talked a lot about whether we would do a little bit of colour or pops of colour," Jennifer recalled. "But Anthony felt strongly that it be all in black and white."

The stunning singer has been the subject of controversy following her latest release, however.

Jennifer premiered the 2014 World Cup anthem, called We Are One (Ole Ola), with Pitbull at the Billboard Music Awards earlier this month.

The pair joined Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte to open the show with the track following the release of its music video, which Brazilians criticised for capturing cliches about their country, including samba dancers, capoeira and drumming.
Jennifer's new album A.K.A. will be released in June.

Lady Gaga is considering hiring Justin Bieber's manager=Scooter Braun.

Lady Gaga is supposedly considering hiring Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun.

The 28-year-old singer split with her professional overseer of nearly a decade, Troy Carter, last year.

Since becoming a free agent Gaga hasn't reached the success she achieved with representation and apparently she is starting to worry about her professional future.

'If anyone can help Gaga now it's Scooter,' a source told British newspaper The Sun.

'He's one of the smartest blokes in the music industry and made Bieber into the biggest pop star on the planet.
'There are a few options for her but Scooter is one of them.'

Although Gaga's third studio album ARTPOP went platinum and gold in markets around the world, it is claimed the record didn't sell as well as anticipated when it was released last November.

Speculation is rife the Applause songstress is concerned with sales figures, as she wants her fourth LP to be a huge success.

And apparently Gaga thinks the expertise of Justin's manager Scooter will aid tremendously in the attainment of her career pursuits.

'Scooter's also the one who has to get Justin out of his scrapes. Gaga's next album will be make or break,' the insider said.

'At the moment she's still to decide who will manage her.'

Gaga's former manager Troy helped propel her into superstardom after he signed a contract with her in 2007. He also received an Emmy nod for his work on her HBO Monster Ball Tour special. They are said to have called off their professional partnership due to 'creative differences'.

Chris Brown's mother "begged" Rihanna to speak to him in prison.

Chris Brown's mother "begged" Rihanna to speak to him in prison.

Chris Brown's mother reportedly "begged" Rihanna to speak to him in prison.

The Loyal singer has been in custody since March after breaking the rules of the rehab facility he was in. Anger management treatment at rehab was a condition of his probation, which stemmed from his assault of Rihanna in 2009.

The pair reunited in 2012 for an on/off relationship before things ended for good last May.

While they have thought to have gone their separate ways, Chris' mom was reportedly keen for Rihanna to visit her son.

"Chris' mother Joyce begged Rihanna to speak to Chris. He was in a dark place," a source told British magazine Closer. "Rihanna visited him a few times and they had emotional chats. She told Chris she forgave him and wanted him to move on."

Following her romance with Chris, Rihanna struck up a relationship with singer Drake. However, the romance recently ended and it is thought the 26-year-old beauty is unable to fully cut ties with her former beau.

Chris too has dated since his split from Rihanna, enjoying an on/off romance with model Karrueche Tran.

"Rihanna has vowed to be there for Chris. He'll always be part of her life," the source added.

Earlier this month Chris was ordered to spend an additional 131 days in jail after admitting to violating his probation.

The singer was arrested in October 2013 for allegedly assaulting a man in Washington, DC, prompting prosecutors to bring the case before a judge.

Despite him being behind bars, there were rumours in April that Rihanna was carrying Chris' child. Those claims were quickly denied by a source close to the star.

'Rihanna's not pregnant with anybody's baby,' the insider told Hollywood Life. 'Motherhood is the last thing on her mind these days, like the last! She's not in a serious enough relationship to even discuss, let alone think about having a child. Sorry, that's not the case.'

(Poll)Eminem Or Sticky Fingaz? Who Had The Better Verse On ‘Remember Me’

Eminem is one of hip-hop’s greatest lyrical titans, and while you’ll surely find a detractor or two, his skills rarely come up for debate.
The multiplatinum MC has starred alongside the likes of Jay Z, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne, but when it comes to “Remember Me?,” his 2000 collaboration with Onyx’s Sticky Fingaz, at least one will argue that Slim Shady got out-shinned.
“I think Sticky bodied the n—a, personally, but it was a good record,” Onyx MC Fredro Starr told UK-based site IllWill.Co.UK in a video interview that was posted to YouTube on Monday.
“Remember Me?,” from Em’s classic The Marshall Mathers LP, featured former Death Row rapper RBX and Sticky, as well as a closing 16 from Slim.
“When I go out, I’ma go out shooting/ I don’t mean when I die, I mean when I go to the club stupid,” Em rapped over a dark and moody Dr. Dre beat.
A foul-mouthed Marshall continued to spew violent bars aimed at his daughter’s mother and flicks a verbal middle finger to then-president Bill Clinton.
Sticky approached his verse a bit differently, mostly puffing his chest. “Better come better than better to be a competitor,” he warned.
“It was a competitive record and that’s what hip-hop is about,” Fredro said. “That’s what hip-hop need to go back to.”
There is no doubt Sticky’s performance was competitive, but we can’t decide who was best, so we’ll leave it to you.

Who had the better verse on "Remember Me?"

Apple Confirms It’s Buying Beats For $3 Billion

After weeks of rumors and speculation, it’s now official: Apple has acquired Beats Music and Beats Electronics for a total of $3 billion.
“I’ve always known in my heart that Beats belonged with Apple,” Jimmy Iovine, co-founder of Beats, said in a press release obtained by MTV News. “The idea when we started the company was inspired by Apple’s unmatched ability to marry culture and technology. Apple’s deep commitment to music fans, artists, songwriters and the music industry is something special.”
Iovine, a veteran music industry record executive, co-founded the company in 2008 with Dr. Dre. Now, following its purchase, the two will join Apple.
Beats initially built up its brand and name through headphones — from in-ear options to powerful studio-ready versions. After that, other products, including speakers, hit the market. Then, earlier this year, the company launched a music streaming service, which allows users to access an immense library of music once they’ve signed up. The company tapped a number of experts to create playlists across genres, while it also includes other features like “The Sentence” — which has been making its way into a number of rap videos recently, from Schoolboy Q’s “Studio” to Wiz Khalifa’s “We Dem Boyz.”
“Music is such an important part of Apple’s DNA and always will be,” Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, said in the release. “The addition of Beats will make our music lineup even better, from free streaming with iTunes Radio to a world-class subscription service in Beats, and of course buying music from the iTunes Store as customers have loved to do for years.”

Toni Braxton Opens Up About Her Secret Abortion

In Toni Braxton's new memoir Unbreak My Heart, she makes some startling revelations about her personal life, including a difficult decision she once made to have an abortion. ET's Nancy O'Dell sat down with the R&B singer to discuss that decision, as well as her past financial problems and one of her son's autism.

"I never thought I would have to do that," the 46-year-old Braxton recalls about her decision to terminate her pregnancy. At the time, she was on the heavy-duty acne drug Accutane -- which carries some serious side effects for fetuses -- but she also said other factors came into play.

"I felt selfish because I was thinking, I'm going through bankruptcy -- there's things going on with my life and I can't give this kid any future. I was feeling hopeless for no reason, when I look at it now for no reason, what was I thinking?"

She added: "I am not really embarrassed about it, I am more ashamed of myself for doing that because I could've figured something out financially -- that was just an excuse I was making for myself."
When asked whether she still deals with the guilt today, Braxton responded, "I often tell myself I have three kids. I have two boys, but I often have to tell myself I have two kids. But in my head I feel like I have three kids.
She also spoke about learning that her now 11-year-old son Diezel was diagnosed with autism. "I thought it was because of the abortion, God was punishing me," she revealed.  "And it took a long time for me to get past that."
