Your Google search history is an archive of everything you have ever
searched on Google. Though, keeping your search history for a long time
is a convenient way to look up old links and to remember what you've
searched, you may feel that it's time to consider your privacy and clear
all of your old searches. If you want to know how to clear your Google
search history, just follow these steps.
1. Open your Internet browser.
2. Go to your Google Web History. You can find your Google Web History in one of two easy ways depending on your browser:
- If you're using Safari or Firefox, you can go to the link: Google.com/history.
- If you're using Google Chrome, you could go to the link, or you could click on the gear at the top right of the page and select "Web history."
4. Select the items you’d like to delete.
You can either select a few of the items, or all of the items. To
select just a few items, click on them individually. If you want to
select all of the items, click on the box next to "Remove all Google Web
History" at the bottom of the screen.
5. Click "Remove items." This will delete all of the items you selected.
6. Take further action if you want to turn off your future Google search history. Just click on the gear to the top right of the page and click "Settings."
- This will take you to a new page where you can click on "Turn off" to turn off your Google search history.
